Reach

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation of CHemicals) System – a legislative pack which imposes a compulsory registration of chemical substances, estimation of chemical dossier and of the substance itself, authorisation for the substance to be used in production and circulation. It also has called into being a European Chemicals Agency located in Helsinki, Finland.

In accordance with REACH regulations the following dates of appropriate registration are provided:

Until the 30th of November 2010 – substances manufactured or imported in the quantities of or exceeding 1000 tons a year; cancerogenic, mutagenic or reproduction-toxic substances (category CMR 1 and 2) in the quantities of or exceeding one ton a year, and substances classified as very toxic to water organisms (R50/53) in the quantity of 100 tons a year or more;

Until the 31st of May 2013 – substances manufactured or imported in the quantities of or exceeding 100 ton a year;

Until the 31st of May 2018 – substances manufactured or imported in the quantities of or exceeding 1 ton a year.
